Senior Network Engineer
I’m Mehran Sahebdel – a Senior Network Engineer and instructor with more than seven years of hands-on experience building and operating enterprise-grade WAN and LAN infrastructures. My background spans the full spectrum of modern network engineering: from Network Operations Centers serving tens of thousands of enterprise users, to ISP backbones carrying traffic for over 50,000 residential and corporate subscribers, to nationwide WAN architectures connecting hundreds of branches across the banking sector.
Throughout this journey I have worked deeply with Cisco, Juniper, and MikroTik platforms, designing and troubleshooting networks built on BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, MPLS, VPLS, VRF, EVPN, and VXLAN. My areas of focus include service provider routing, enterprise WAN design, network security and BGP hardening, dynamic routing protocols, and multi-vendor interoperability – the kinds of topics where real-world experience matters far more than textbook knowledge.
As an instructor, I teach across the full MikroTik certification track – MTCNA, MTCRE, MTCUME, MTCINE, and MTCTCE – bringing into the classroom the same scenarios, design decisions, and incident patterns I have encountered in production environments. My professional credentials include Cisco CCNP and CCNA, MikroTik MTCNA, RIPE NCC BGP Security Associate, and CompTIA Network+. I believe the best network engineers are built by combining solid fundamentals with exposure to the messy, real conditions of live networks – and that’s the philosophy I bring to every course I teach.
